A focused recording studio in Amsterdam-Oost, founded in 2019, where engineers guide your session from setup to export.
Three-room layout
Mordancyedge combines a live room for bands and demos, a control room for mixing and monitoring, and 2 iso booths for vocals and speech. About 145 m² in total at Wibautstraat 137, 1091 GL Amsterdam.
We work by appointment during Monday–Friday 10:00–19:00, Saturday 11:00–17:00. Closed on Sunday. Sessions outside these hours on request. Sessions outside those hours are possible after agreement via contact.
Workflow and engineers
The engineer who prepares your quote is usually present for recording or mix as well. That keeps expectations on sound, pace and deliverables aligned.
Vocal recording and demo recording are handled by our recording and demo engineers; mixing and mastering go through our mix/master specialist; podcast recording has a dedicated podcast engineer. See services for detail.
Gear without a brand parade
We work with roughly 28 microphones and DIs, analogue and digital paths, and monitoring tuned to the rooms. Mic choice depends on your voice or source — we discuss that before the session.
The live room fits up to 6 musicians at once. Headphones and talkback are standard; bring your own instruments if you prefer and insure them yourself.
Files, revisions and archive
We typically deliver common formats such as 24-bit WAV via secure link. Mix and mastering include 2 revision rounds unless the quote says otherwise; an extra mastering revision is available at €35.

Wibautstraat 137 sits between metro Wibautstraat (M51, M53, M54) and Amsterdam Amstel. From metro Wibautstraat it is about a 4-minute walk. Published rates
VAT-inclusive prices are on the site; every booking gets a written quote.
Your material stays yours
We do not claim co-ownership of your recordings and do not train AI on client audio.
Clear cancellation rules
Up to 7 days before the session you can reschedule or cancel at no charge.
